Job Description
Financial Officer
The Financial Officer functions like a loan officer across multiple lending partners. You will own the education loan journey for students applying through WeMakeScholars - from eligibility assessment to final sanction - while working with our panel of partner banks and NBFCs.
Role mix: 30% Banking & Finance • 30% Customer Operations • 40% Business Development & Sales.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Evaluate student profiles and recommend the best-suited loan scheme from our panel of partner banks and NBFCs (full training on underwriting criteria provided).
• Own the end-to-end loan process - from eligibility check to final sanction and disbursement.
• Follow up with students every 3-4 days; coordinate with bank authorities to resolve any delays or issues.
• Escalate stuck cases to the team leader and drive timely resolution.
• Achieve monthly disbursement targets through consultative selling and consistent follow-ups.
Requirements
• Graduate from a management-aligned stream (BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Tech) or any post-graduate.
• Freshers welcome; candidates with up to 1 year of experience preferred.
• Good in basic maths, strong communication, authoritative and convincing tone.
• Extroverted, jovial personality and culturally aligned with a student-first mindset.
