Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort are maintained in guest rooms and public areas. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping staff activities.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Assign duties to staff and ensure they are completed efficiently.
• Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching to team members.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.
• Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain records of staff attendance, room inspection checklists, and maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct daily briefings with staff to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.
• Monitor and report on staff performance and discipline where necessary.
