Job Description
- Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Customer KYC VerificationVerify customer identity and address documents.
- Validate PAN, Aadhaar, Passport, GST, business registration, etc.
- Ensure completeness and authenticity of documents.
- 2. Customer Due Diligence (CDD)Conduct background checks on customers.
- Analyze source of funds, occupation, and transaction purpose.
- Assess customer risk profiles.
- 3. Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)Perform detailed verification for:
- High-risk customers
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
- Large-value transactions
- Suspicious accounts
- 4. AML Transaction MonitoringMonitor customer transactions for unusual or suspicious activities.
- Identify:
- Structuring/smurfing
- Large cash deposits
- Frequent high-value transfers
- Suspicious gold transactions
- 5. Suspicious Activity ReportingEscalate suspicious transactions to compliance teams.
- Assist in preparation of:
- STR (Suspicious Transaction Reports)
- CTR (Cash Transaction Reports)
- 6. Sanctions & Watchlist ScreeningScreen customers against:
- RBI lists
- FIU alerts
- OFAC sanctions
- PEP databases
- Blacklists/watchlists
- 7. Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with:
- RBI guidelines
- AML regulations
- Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)
- Internal company policies
- 8. Periodic KYC Review & Re-KYCConduct periodic customer profile reviews.
- Follow up for expired or pending KYC documents.
- 9. Audit & DocumentationMaintain audit-ready records.
- Support internal/external compliance audits.
- 10. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with:
- Compliance department
- Risk team
- Operations
- Legal teams
- Submit periodic compliance reports.
- Required SkillsStrong analytical skills
- Knowledge of AML/KYC regulations
- Risk assessment ability
- Attention to detail
- Fraud detection awareness
- Data analysis & reporting
- Excel & compliance software knowledge
- Communication and documentation skills
- Preferred QualificationsGraduate/Postgraduate in:
- Commerce
