Who We Look For

As a Vice President, Global Billing Function Lead, you will be an integral part of the AMD Engineering Ecosystem, providing strategic direction and hands-on management for our critical financial operations. You will lead a team of 10-15 engineers and analysts, designing, implementing, and optimizing complex, scalable systems for AMD back-office functions, with a particular emphasis on enhancing and transforming our global billing, payment processing, and revenue management platforms. You will drive various projects and initiatives within Revenue Operations technology, ensuring the scalability, integrity, accuracy, and compliance of our financial systems across all global markets.

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related Engineering Field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, financial technology, or billing operations, with a significant portion in a leadership or management capacity.
• Proven experience in building and strategically overseeing scalable and distributed platforms (AWS cloud technologies is a plus).
• Knowledge in one or more SQL dialects.
• Extensive and proven experience in leading global financial billing systems, payment gateways, invoice generation, revenue reconciliation, and financial controls.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentorship skills for a team of 10-15 engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Self-motivated with a strategic analytical mindset who can multi-task to solve interesting and difficult technical problems under time pressure and resource constraints.
• Experience with all stages of the development lifecycle: inception, analysis, design, review, testing, and deployment, with a focus on strategic oversight and delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder management and executive presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record in managing data-intensive applications and large-scale batch processing, particularly within global financial transaction processing and billing cycles.
• Experience in AWS Cloud technologies, with a focus on strategic implementation and migration.
• Comfortable working in highly dynamic and rapid development environments, with experience driving Agile transformation and best practices.
• Deep understanding and extensive experience in the financial or banking industry, including global billing regulations, accounting principles, general ledger systems, and compliance.
• Technologies & Tools: Java, Web/RESTful service development: HTML 5, JavaScript/ReactJS, JSON, Kubernetes, SQL related to billing, testing and build tools.
