We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with 5+ Years of strong expertise in Entity Relationship (ER) , domain and dimensional modeling to support enterprise data initiatives in the Life and Annuities insurance domain. The ideal candidate will design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business processes, regulatory requirements, and enterprise data standards.

Key Responsibilities

•                 Develop, maintain, and optimize ER models, dimensional and domain models supporting data warehousing, operational data stores, and analytical systems.

•                 Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and data engineers to translate insurance product and policy requirements into scalable data structures.

•                 Use ER/Studio to design, document, and version control logical and physical data models.

•                 Align models with data governance, metadata management, and master data management principles.

•                 Ensure model consistency and compliance with insurance data standards (e.g., ACORD).

•                 Support system integration and modernization by standardizing data entities across lines of business.

•                 Develop source to target mappings for the data platform models

•                 Participate in peer reviews and contribute to establishing best practices for data modeling and data lineage documentation.

Required Qualifications

•                 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

•                 5+ years of experience as a Data Modeler or Data Architect.

•                 Strong proficiency in ER modeling, dimensional modeling and domain modeling for complex business domains.

•                 Hands-on experience with ER/Studio (logical and physical modeling, repository management, naming standards, version control).

•                 Proven experience working in Life and Annuities insurance, with solid understanding of policy administration, claims, underwriting, and actuarial data.

•                 Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, Databricks, Oracle, or similar).

•                 Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

•                 Familiarity with data warehouse or data lake design patterns.

•                 Exposure to data integration tools and knowledge of ETL/ELT processes.

•                 Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data architecture concepts.

•                 Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
