Job Description
The Dialysis Technician is responsible for operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients during dialysis treatment, and ensuring safe, effective delivery of renal care under the supervision of medical and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dialysis machines and equipment before each treatment
- Perform hemodialysis procedures as per prescribed protocols
- Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after dialysis
- Observe patients for complications and report abnormalities immediately
- Maintain sterility and infection control standards
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste
- Document treatment data accurately in patient records
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis equipment
- Assist nephrologists and nurses during procedures
- Educate patients on dialysis process and basic care guidelines
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
