The position will report to the AVP Corporate Finance and will be a member of Amgen’s Global Finance Leadership Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently leading and managing a centralized local FP&A team that will be responsible for several key planning activities within the forecasting cycle
- Driving and identifying new procedures/processes or modifying existing ones which lead to improved cost effectiveness and/or appropriate quality, compliance, and standardization levels
- Implement standard reporting and consistent delivery across functions
- Developing and implementing schedules, objectives, and goals
- Partnering with Executive Directors and Directors in Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, etc.) to support the strategic directions of the business
- Implementing new technology and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, productivity and/or delivery
- Managing a centralized Anaplan forecasting process for outside expenses
- Provide strategic analysis and interpretation of the financial results
- Training and implementation of finance policies and procedures
This role requires an experienced, energetic individual with a strong finance background. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and management capability.
