Asst Manager - Fire & Safety

You'll work as a Asst Manager Fire &Safety, reporting into the Operations/transition Manager.
In this varied role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assumes a designated position on an assigned apparatus and follows command structure instructions for fire suppression or a related emergency service.
Performs equipment set-up upon arrival at a fire scene.
Dispatches and accompany ERT (Emergency response team).
Prepare plans and provide the fire and life safety drills and other safety trainings to the sub-ordinates, peers and other persons available in the premises.
Completes appropriate rescue, fire fighting and salvage operations at a fire scene.
Uses established procedures to determine if individuals are trapped within a burning facility and takes appropriate actions to secure their rescue.
Perform the lift evacuation drill periodically.
Overhauls affected structure to prevent rekindling.
Takes inventory of all equipment after suppression has been achieved, recording all equipment, which must be left at the site and incident report.
Attends and provides information for pre-fire planning studies and maintains a current knowledge of pre-fire plans.
Provides safety information and demonstrations concerning how to perform certain work tasks to employees in the same or similar class of positions.
Attends meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on the principles, practices and new developments.
Responds to customer’s questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner.
Ensure that all fire and life safety systems installed in the premises working in effective and efficiency manner.
Provide criteria on determining the number or type of fire extinguishers needed in a given area.
Prepare & Implement Disaster & Emergency management plan.
Develop and recommend fire protection & safety policy for implementation for the premises.
Liaison with the local fire department authority.
Maintain the correct operation of fire alarm panel (detection system, MCP, strobe light and hooters).
Carry out fire drills and educate the tenants / public with regard to fire and rescue operation.
Supervise fire stock and maintain them.
Maintains an awareness of other Fire personnel on detail for the purpose of protecting other Fire-fighters lives as necessary.
Conduct & impart the training to the staff, security, tenants of the Mall and nominated fire staff.
Carry out the standard test of existing fire fighting equipment.
Prepare reports.
Supervise the entire fireman and fire technician in all work.
Should check the expiry date of fire extinguisher which is installed in the premises.
Establishes inspection tours of property, focusing on stairwells, elevators, and all areas of ingress/egress
Gains/maintains proficiency with building's life safety system and central security panelMaintains and updates Security Policies and Procedures manual
Maintains a working knowledge of all current building, fire and life safety code requirements
Assists in emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuations human crisis, etc.Communicates with Property Manager regarding events, incidents, concerns of Security Team members, recommendations, staffing needs, etc.
Reviews security after hours reports an monitors performanceAssists in performance/behaviour related meetings regarding contract security staff
Co-develops with the management staff operating guidelines and practices
Establishes and updates project specific security procedures and crime deterrent programs
Implements and provides budgets relating to the property and staff
Qualified from reputed and organised fire institution

Education and experience
Any Bachelor’s degree. you’ll need between 6 to 10 years’ experience in Fire &Safety (OR) Property Management. A working knowledge of any major residential sector will also be very helpful.
An eye for detail
You’ll have an eye for detail and an ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information – and translate this into strategic deliverables.
Great organisational skills
You’ll have great time management and organisational skills, and be good at meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and adapting to your team’s or client’s changing requirements.
