Full Stack Developer (70-80% Backend & 20-30% Frontend)

Role description:

You will be working together with a team of professionals with both technical software knowledge and rail domain knowledge striving to raise the rain safety with as ultimate goal to achieve the best possible level of rail safety. 
You will be part of a SCRUM team of experienced developers, domain experts and the product owner who deliver software to Prorail.  We deliver complex software systems in which knowledge of the railway industry, and the associated jargon, is integral.   It is essential that the systems that we deliver integrate seamlessly – this places high demands on our quality to deliver.  After each sprint (2 weeks) there will be a demo for stakeholders (from RIGD-Loxia. ProRail and others)

Role accountabilities:

• As a Full Stack -Java -Angular developer you could be a perfect match: (Java technology 70- 80% - Angular technology 20-30%) 
• You take ownership and guarantee the quality of the software; 
• You work closely with the product owner, other developers and testers; 
• As team member you are actively involved with preparation of new stories, refinements, planning and design meetings; 
• You can work independently but also in pair-programming; 
• You develop in line with the clean code and clean architecture principles; 
• You are inclined to always help the tester; 
• You build it, you run it is your rule-of-thought.

Qualifications & Experience:

Backend Experience:

• Java v17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
• REST APIs, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI
• Need experience kubernetes, docker, pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• DevOps & Tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Integration Testing

Frontend Experience:

• Angular v17+
• Basic experience working with state management libraries such as NgRx, NGXS, or Akita, along with a good understanding of
• Redux patterns and a strong willingness to learn and grow
• Basic experience with reactive programming using RxJS, along with an eagerness to further enhance skills in this area.
• Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, CI/CD
• IDEs & Tools: IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code

Good to have:

• Knowledge of clean architecture/layered architecture
• Knowledge of the railway domain (Nice to have).
• Demonstrably a minimum of  6+ years experience programming in Java 17+ and Angular 17 experience – preferably over several projects and with a recent version
