Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing furniture designs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of materials, construction techniques, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drawings and detailing.
- Knowledge of SketchUp or Rhino for 3D furniture modeling.
- Basic understanding of Photoshop for presentations and mood boards.
- Strong knowledge of furniture construction, materials, joinery, hardware, and finishes.
- Understanding of ergonomics and manufacturing processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Portfolio demonstrating furniture design projects.
- Experience in furniture manufacturing or custom furniture design is preferred.
