About the role
As the Head for Capabilities for ONEGBS, you will lead the design and execution of the GBS learning and capability development strategy by orchestrating a federated academy model. The role leverages existing functional academies (Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, Supply, etc.) and enterprise learning assets, while curating GBS-specific content to build cross-functional, digital, and operational excellence capabilities. The role works across GPOs, Delivery, Service Enablement and Hubs to assess capability needs and curate solutions through internal and external partner ecosystems.
Your responsibilities
- Capability Strategy & Integration: Lead GBS-wide capability strategy; leverage and reuse existing academy content across functions
- Academy Orchestration: Integrate GBS needs across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT&D, Supply, ensuring seamless learning journeys
- Needs Assessment: Partner with key stakeholders to identify gaps and align learning with business priorities
- Content Curation: Curate best-in-class internal and external learning content; prioritize aggregation over creation
- Capability Development: Build core GBS skills (service management, process excellence, digital, automation, change)
- Learning Design: Create persona-based learning pathways across roles and levels
- Digital Enablement: Drive scalable, modern learning (blended, microlearning, cohort-based)
- Measurement & Governance: Track impact via KPIs; manage governance, alignment, and funding for GBS Academy
The experience we're looking for
- 15+ years’ leadership experience in GBS or GCC environments in Learning & Capability Development roles.
- Proven experience in operating in a federated model and influencing across functions.
- Strong understanding of GBS operating model including GPO, Delivery, Service Enablement, and Hub structures.
- Strong background in partnering with business functions, GPO structures, delivery and global/regional hubs.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, shaping, and delivering high-impact improvement initiatives.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive changes in complex, matrixed, multicultural environments.
- Experience within CPG, GBS, or large-scale transformation environments preferred though not mandatory.
