Role name and description

Senior - This role is responsible for reviewing multi country Corporate or Group Accounting process including General Ledger, Trial Balance/Balance Sheet reconciliation, month end processes, Journal Entries, preparation of Management Packs and Financial Statements.

 

The opportunity

Senior – reports to Manager- Opportunity to work in a multi country or Group Accounting process including General Ledger, Balance Sheet reconciliation and month end processes. Also implement process improvements by providing lean ideas, enforcing an environment with uncompromising controls and improving quality.

 

Your key responsibilities

• End to end accounting experience including Group Accounting, month end closing, financial reporting, Balance sheet reconciliation and financial year closing process
• Demonstrate strong understanding of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including their interdependence and operational workflows and guide team members on such topics.
• Working knowledge in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, with hands-on experience in transaction processing, reporting, data extraction and reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience on VAT GL reconciliation tools like Blackline, Cadency, Moses, or Arcs
• Manage the manual journal entry process, including preparation, validation, posting in ERP systems, and audit trail maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of Trial Balance, Balance Sheet accounts, and VAT GL accounting, including reconciliation and reporting
• Understand VAT compliance processes, including VAT form preparation, tax register maintenance, and accounting for VAT adjustments and recharges.
• Execute and oversee VAT GL reconciliation preparation and process, including subledger-to-ledger reconciliations, month-to-date (MTD) and year-to-date (YTD) reporting.
• Support revenue reconciliations with subledger/ledger/other books.
• Monitor and manage open items, timely resolutions including end to end Journal entries preparation and processing
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas and functions) and PowerPoint for financial analysis and reporting.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Qualified Chartered Accountants CA or ACCA or CPA with 4 years of experience or B.COM or M.COM or CA inter or MBA with overall 4 - 8 years of experience
• 4 to 8 years of experience in accounting
• End to end knowledge of accounting processes, accounting principles (IFRS), US GAAP is an added advantage
• Knowledge of ERP systems like Workday, SAP, MS Business Central etc.
