IT Support Executive

An IT Executive in software and hardware manages, supports, and maintains an organization's technology infrastructure. Key responsibilities include installing/configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting desktop/network issues, managing user accounts, ensuring system security, and maintaining inventory. They support daily operations by keeping systems, servers, and peripherals running efficiently. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware & Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral equipment.
• System Administration: Setup and manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles in Active Directory.
• Networking: Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults, both on-site and remotely.
• Security & Maintenance: Ensure data backups, implement security protocols (e.g., antivirus, firewalls), and manage software patching.
• Inventory Management: Track IT assets and assist with procurement of new hardware/software. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent certification.
• Experience: 2–4 years in IT hardware/software support.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows OS (and often macOS/Linux), networking fundamentals (TCP/IP), and MS Office.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
