Data Platforms is an exciting collective of teams spanning product and engineering teams. LSEG Data Platforms provides a range of tools and solutions for leading, accessing, and distributing financial data. They offer various platforms, including the LSEG Data Platform, LSEG DataScope Select, and LSEG DataScope Warehouse. These platforms enable users to access both LSEG's own data and third-party data, with options for real-time, delayed, and historical data delivery.

 

General Position Overview:

The position of Key Developer is with a focus on data integration. The role requires strong experience in Oracle database. The ideal candidate should have experience with other SQL databases, although this is not mandatory. The role offers remote work options, allowing for a flexible work environment.

 

Candidate’s Responsibilities:

• Write database procedures, functions, and triggers
• Optimize, rewrite and debug complex SQL queries, explain plans and PL/pgSQL to ensure database performance
• Create automation for repeating database tasks.
• Write Unix shell scripts including PL/pgSQL and schedule them
• Monitor stale schemas, tables and vacuum/analyse them regularly
• Manage large partitioned tables including the indexes

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Oracle database.
• XML Knowledge

Nice to have:

• English communication skills (B2 or higher).
• Experience with C# or Java will be an advantage
• MS SQL Server knowledge
• MySQL knowledge
• Query Performance optimization
