Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit balance sheet reconciliations for GL accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Perform root cause analysis of reconciliation variances and partner with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable resolutions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing clear, well-documented reconciliations and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across reconciliation processes.
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall audit readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with Controllership and Markets resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment on accounting treatments.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, SOX controls, and statutory/regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in Record-to-Report (RTR) space also performing Financial Audits with General Ledger (GL) reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and balance sheet reconciliation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and reconciliation tools such as Blackline .
  • Proven experience supporting audits, including control testing and documentation review, preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and manage large data sets.

  • Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to results.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Background in Audit (Big 4 or internal audit) or RTR Controllership functions.
  • Exposure to process transition or automation initiatives.
  • Certification such as CA / CMA / CPA / ACCA is an advantage.
