Patient Care Coordinator

Lux Hospitals is a [multi-specialty / specialty] healthcare facility focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centric care. We're hiring an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to guide patients through their entire hospital journey — from OPD consultation to admission, surgery, and discharge.

About the Role: 

This is a patient-facing coordination and counselling role, not a primarily clinical one. You'll be the single point of contact for patients, working closely with consultants, billing, and insurance teams to ensure a smooth experience. Some clinical support is involved (assisting consultants in OPD, recording vitals and history), but the core of the job is coordination, counselling, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patients through OPD consultations, surgery admissions, follow-ups, and discharge.
• Counsel patients and attendants on recommended procedures, financial estimates, packages, and payment options.
• Brief patients on pre-operative and pre-admission requirements.
• Assist consultants on the OPD floor and record patient history, vitals, and complaints.
• Coordinate with Insurance and IP Billing teams for approvals, admissions, and discharges.
• Maintain accurate records in HMIS and supporting trackers.

Who We're Looking For:

• Mandatory: Prior experience as a Care Coordinator / Patient Coordinator in a hospital.
• Healthcare background preferred.
• Comfortable with HMIS/ERP software and basic Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong communication in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
• Empathetic, organized, and good at multitasking in a busy OPD.

• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month
• Shift: Day shift only
• Location: Lux hospitals, Gachibowli, Near IKEA, Hyderabad.
