About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Representative
In this role, you will:
- Support performance of less experienced staff and overall effectiveness of team
- Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools within Commercial Loan Closing
- Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Perform complex legal activities for loan documentation that may also include documentation purchased from a third party source, internal staff and the Corporate Legal Group
- Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals
- Work collaboratively with Credit, Sales and Legal regarding proper procedures and documentation requirements necessary to ensure accuracy with negotiated terms and ensure alignment with appropriate compliance standards
- Interact with immediate team and Commercial Loan Closing
- Interact with internal customers
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Commercial Loan Closing support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA / Post‑Graduate degree (Finance, Banking, Operations, or related discipline preferred)
- Strong interest in Commercial Banking, Credit, and Lending Operations
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to learn new processes, systems, and regulatory concepts quickly
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment
- Learn and support end‑to‑end Commercial Loan Closing processes under the guidance of experienced team members
- Assist in reviewing, validating, and uploading loan-related data into systems of record in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support preparation and review of loan documentation, working with standard templates and approved documentation sources
- Partner with internal stakeholders such as Credit, Sales, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
- Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and risk standards
- Participate in training sessions, process walkthroughs, and ongoing knowledge enhancement activities
- Identify process gaps or improvement opportunities and share observations with the team
Job Expectations:
- Academic exposure to banking, finance, credit, or risk management concepts
- Internship, project work, or coursework related to financial services (preferred, not mandatory)
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tool
- Understanding and Application of AI Tools: Ability to leverage AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Tachyon, Agentspace) for routine tasks such as summarizing information, drafting content, and analyzing data, while maintaining human oversight.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to interpret AI outputs, validate insights, and make informed business decisions.
- Responsible AI Use: Awareness of ethical considerations, data privacy, and compliance when using AI solutions.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Commitment to upskilling and staying current with emerging technologies.
