Role Overview
The Relationship Manager (RM) – Automobile Sales is responsible for generating sales through effective customer engagement, relationship building, and end-to-end coordination of the vehicle sales process. The role requires balancing sales targets with superior customer experience, ensuring long-term customer retention and brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new business through walk-ins, referrals, digital leads, and field activities
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and deliveries
- Achieve assigned sales targets for vehicles, accessories, finance, and insurance
- Conduct product presentations and test drives
Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with individual and corporate customers
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects and existing customers
- Ensure a seamless and premium customer experience at every touchpoint
- Handle customer concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution
Process & Coordination
- Coordinate with finance, insurance, registration (RTO), and stock teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company policies
- Track customer interactions and update CRM systems daily
- Ensure timely vehicle delivery and explain delivery checklist to customers
Post-Sales & Retention
- Conduct post-delivery follow-ups and customer satisfaction calls
- Encourage repeat purchases and referral business
- Support service team by coordinating first service reminders
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on product features, pricing, competitors, and offers
- Provide market feedback to the management team
Candidate Profile
Education
- Any Graduate / Diploma / MBA (Sales & Marketing preferred)
Experience
- 1–6 years of experience in automobile sales or relationship management or other sales
- Experience in 2W / 3W / 4W dealership sales preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Customer-centric approach with a sales-driven mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Professional grooming and positive attitude
- Comfortable with field work and weekend working
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Vehicle sales volume & revenue
- Finance & insurance penetration
- Customer satisfaction (CSI/NPS)
- Lead response time and conversion ratio
- Repeat and referral sales
Working Conditions
- 6 days working with weekly off
- Weekend and holiday availability as per showroom requirements
