As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking organization’s Acquisition Enablement Platform, you will join an agile team that designs, builds, and delivers secure, stable, and scalable software for the firm’s state‑of‑the‑art products. In this role, you will implement software solutions across multiple components of applications and systems while continuing to grow your capabilities.
Job responsibilities
- Requirements clarifications and low level design
- Perform coding and code reviews to improve overall product quality
- Do Low level design, and design reviews
- Code static and dynamic quality assurance
- Algorithms and datastructures knowledge
- Test case automated for unit, integration, system.
- Production trouble shooting experience
- Write secure, high‑quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance
Leverage tools across the Software Development Life Cycle to maximize value through automation
Gather, analyze, and interpret large, diverse data sets to identify issues and inform decisions that support secure, stable application development
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience
- Platform engineering experience with production support of microservices focused on key performance metrics
Prompt engineering experience with proven experience in using LLM tools such as Gemini , Claude, CoPilot with automated generation of code, design, automated test cases and integrating, troubleshooting them to production grade services/APIs using coding and performance best practices.
- Practical experience with Java 17+ / J2EE technologies, Spring Boot, and microservices
- In‑depth understanding of object‑oriented principles with hands‑on experience using microservices design patterns
- Hands‑on experience gathering and implementing non‑functional requirements (NFRs)
- Ability to create low‑level design documents such as class and sequence diagrams
- Experience writing unit tests, functional tests, and end‑to‑end test automation
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Exposure to setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jules and to code coverage tools such as SonarQube
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document functional requirements and translate them into use cases and user stories
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
