Role Title WiFi Implementation Engineer

Responsibilities

Design Architecture

Design plan and architect scalable and secure wireless network solutions using Juniper Mist access points and controllers ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices

Develop comprehensive network documentation including highlevel designs HLD lowlevel designs LLD network diagrams and operational procedures

Conduct site surveys and capacity planning for wireless deployments to ensure optimal coverage and performance

Using Sidekick and Wireless Survey product to provide inhouse report and eliminating dependency of vendor

Implementation Deployment

Implement configure and deploy Juniper Mist wireless access points switches eg EX Series and other network devices

Configure and troubleshoot wireless LAN controllers WLCs and Juniper Mist Cloud

Integrate wireless solutions with existing network infrastructure including routing switching and security components

Optimization Performance

Monitor wireless network performance analyze traffic patterns and identify areas for optimization

Implement Quality of Service QoS policies to prioritize critical applications over the wireless network

Conduct regular system and network performance evaluations to ensure efficient operation

Troubleshooting Support

Utilize network analysis tools and Juniper Mist AI insights to identify root causes and implement effective solutions

Collaborate with internal teams vendors TAC team and customers to resolve escalated issues

Manage configuration backups and version control for wireless network devices

Security Compliance

Implement and enforce wireless security measures including WPA3 8021X captive portals and guest access solutions

Ensure compliance with relevant security policies and FIM compliance Baseline are up to date

Deployment Prerequisite

Ensuring Details for Change request is provided with proper procedure and format and is understood by the Change implementor

Preimplementation steps are carried for successful deployment and well informed to the team and business by collaborating with project working team QIP team Raising Service Now request well in advance

Requirement

Degree in computer science Information Technology Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience

Good work experience in network engineering specifically focused on wireless networking

Proven handson experience with Juniper Networks products particularly Juniper Mist wireless solutions APs Mist Cloud

Strong understanding of WiFi 80211 standards abgnacaxbe and wireless RF fundamentals

Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts including VLANs IP addressing subnetting routing protocols Eigrp BGP and switching architectures

Experience with network security concepts including firewalls ACL in LANWAN

Configuration of Juniper Controller APs and follow standard of installation and deployment process

Creation of template understanding existing SSID and their use etc

Sync with other team and vendor for deployment and updating site details and other standard procedure

Familiar with Juniper Dashboard Network monitoring tools and analytics platforms

Proactive approach identifying potential impact troubleshooting Wifi issue and problemsolving skill to ensure timely resolution is met

Strong communication skills verbal and written with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholder

Desired Skills Certifications Plus Points Juniper WLAN Networks certifications JNCIAXXX

Knowledge on other Wireless product and their use and Functionality would be plus point

Any Automation working skill and Scripting would be plus point

Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and SaaS platforms

Experience with network access control NAC solutions
