We are seeking an experienced Engineering Architect with 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java, AWS, Architecture, and SQL to lead the design and implementation of scalable enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in software architecture, cloud platforms, backend development, and data systems, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Define and drive the overall application, system, and cloud architecture for enterprise-grade platforms.

Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performing applications using Java-based technologies.

Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.

Lead the modernization of legacy applications into microservices and distributed architectures.

Create architectural blueprints, solution designs, technical roadmaps, and best practice guidelines.

Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and business teams to ensure technology solutions meet business objectives.

Drive database architecture, SQL query optimization, data modeling, and performance tuning for transactional and analytical workloads.

Ensure non-functional requirements including security, availability, scalability, observability, and disaster recovery are built into the platform design.

Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions to ensure high-quality delivery.

Mentor development teams on software design principles, cloud adoption, coding standards, and architecture governance.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools, frameworks, and platforms to improve engineering efficiency and system performance.

Support CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices to streamline deployments and operational excellence.

Required Skills

10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant experience in solution/application architecture.

Strong expertise in Java, including Java 8+ features, multithreading, collections, JVM tuning, and backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA.

Strong experience in AWS cloud architecture and implementation.

Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed system design.

Strong experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Expertise in data modeling, query tuning, indexing, database performance optimization, and transaction management.

Experience with architecture patterns such as layered architecture, domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture.

Good understanding of security best practices, authentication/authorization, encryption, and secure API design.

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps tools is preferred.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise integration patterns, messaging systems such as Kafka/SQS/SNS, and API management.

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.

Experience in designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems.

Exposure to agile delivery models and working with globally distributed teams.
