Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented E-Commerce Accountant to manage the financial operations of our online business. The ideal candidate should have experience in marketplace accounting, GST compliance, payment reconciliation, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace Accounting

• Maintain accounting records for online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and other e-commerce platforms.
• Record daily sales, returns, refunds, commissions, shipping charges, and promotional expenses.
• Reconcile marketplace settlement reports with bank receipts and accounting records.
• Monitor payment cycles and identify discrepancies in settlements.

Financial Accounting

• Maintain day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
• Record purchase, sales, expense, receipt, and payment entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and MIS reports.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management.

GST & Tax Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.
• Reconcile GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2B.
• Handle TDS deductions and return filing.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during audits.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Maintain inventory records and stock valuation.
• Reconcile inventory between ERP, warehouse, and marketplace reports.
• Monitor inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and stock adjustments.
• Track landed costs, purchase costs, and product profitability.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
• Analyze sales, commissions, advertising expenses, and profitability.
• Generate MIS reports for management.
• Monitor business KPIs and recommend process improvements.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain proper accounting documentation and financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments, logistics partners, and marketplace support teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
• M.Com, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in e-commerce accounting.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, IF, INDEX-MATCH, data analysis).
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with Amazon, Flipkart, and other marketplace settlement reconciliation.
• Understanding of inventory accounting and warehouse reconciliation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Working Hours

• Full-Time
• Monday to Saturday
• Office Timing: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Salary

• ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (depending on experience and skills).
