Job Purpose:The Store Manager is responsible for managing the complete store operations, inventory control, material receiving, stock maintenance, dispatch activities, and ensuring the availability of products for sales and customer requirements. The role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, stock security, and team management. Store managers are typically responsible for day-to-day operations, inventory control, staff supervision, and operational efficiency.

• Key Responsibilities1. Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate stock records of all products.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
• Ensure proper FIFO (First In First Out) inventory management.
• Minimize dead stock and stock discrepancies.
• Generate inventory reports for management review. Inventory management includes maintaining appropriate stock levels, tracking stock movement, and supporting replenishment decisions.
• 2. Material ReceivingVerify incoming materials against Purchase Orders and invoices.
• Ensure quantity and quality checks before stock entry.
• Record GRN (Goods Receipt Note) accurately.
• Coordinate with the Purchase Department for shortages or damages.
• 3. Material DispatchEnsure timely dispatch of customer orders.
• Verify dispatch documents and delivery challans.
• Coordinate with logistics and transport vendors.
• Track dispatched materials until delivery confirmation.
• 4. Store OperationsMaintain proper storage and identification of products.
• Implement barcode and inventory tracking systems.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the store area.
• Optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
• 5. Team ManagementSupervise store assistants and warehouse staff.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Train team members on inventory procedures and SOPs.
• Maintain discipline and productivity within the department. Staff management and employee supervision are common store manager responsibilities.
• 6. CoordinationCoordinate with Sales, Purchase, Accounts, and Logistics teams.
• Support sales teams with product availability information.
• Ensure urgent customer requirements are fulfilled promptly.
• 7. MIS & ReportingPrepare daily stock reports.
• Submit monthly inventory analysis reports.
• Report slow-moving, non-moving, and fast-moving items.
• Present inventory accuracy and stock valuation reports to management.
