Project Engineer - Interior Fitout

Job Purpose- To plan, execute, and monitor interior fit-out projects on-site, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to timelines, and compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesExecute interior fit-out works including civil, carpentry, false ceiling, flooring, painting, MEP coordination, and finishing as per approved drawings
• Review and interpret architectural/interior GFC drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
• Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, vendors, and in-house labor teams
• Prepare and monitor project schedules (bar charts/Gantt charts) and track progress against milestones
• Conduct quality checks and ensure work complies with approved samples, materials, and finishes
• Coordinate with MEP, HVAC, electrical, and other service teams for seamless integration with civil/interior works
• Manage material procurement follow-ups, site inventory, and vendor coordination
• Prepare daily progress reports (DPR), site measurement sheets, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and statutory requirements at site
• Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants for approvals, site instructions, and snag resolution
• Handle billing coordination, work measurement, and support in RA bill preparation
• Identify and resolve on-site execution issues, delays, or discrepancies proactively
• Ensure timely closure of snags and handover of projects
• Required Skills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of interior fit-out execution methods (partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, paint/finishes, glazing, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, working drawings, and shop drawings
• Familiarity with materials used in interiors (laminates, veneers, gypsum, POP, ACP, glass, modular systems, etc.)
• Basic understanding of MEP coordination in interior projects
• Knowledge of project scheduling tools (MS Project/Excel)
• Site supervision and manpower/contractor management skills
• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Knowledge of quality and safety standards on site
