A purpose driven role for you

The incumbent will work & guide a team of engineers & Senior Engineers to support development of 2 Wheeler I.C engines.
The incumbent will be responsible for performing & monitoring detailed fluid dynamics and thermal simulations, with a focus on external / in-cylinder flow, engine combustion, engine lubrication and different modes of heat transfer.

A Day in the life

Responsible for performing 1D/3D CFD simulations of IC engine components. Simulate and analyze in-cylinder flows, fuel-air mixing, combustion processes, and heat transfer.
Responsible performing mesh generation, solver setup, post-processing, and results interpretation.
Optimize engine design parameters based on simulation insights.
Collaborate with design, testing, and performance teams to align simulations with real-world results.
Prepare technical reports, presentations for internal stakeholders and SOPs.
Contribute to model development, validation, and continuous improvement of simulation methodologies.

Academic Qualification & Experience

M Tech (Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field from renowned institute.)
12 – 15 Years of professional experience
R&D 2W preferable

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Hands on experience with GT-Suite, Altair, Fluent, STAR – CCM+, AVL FIRE, Flowmaster, CATIA.
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, combustion, and heat transfer principles.
Familiarity with turbulence models (e.g., RANS, LES), multiphase flow, and conjugate heat transfer (CHT).
Proficiency in mesh generation (polyhedral, trimmed, overset meshes).
Good scripting skills in Java, Python, or STAR-CCM+ macros for automation.
