Fashion Designer

• Design & Collection DevelopmentConceptualize and create seasonal and special collections aligned with Fashion Dwar's brand identity.
• Develop original designs, sketches, mood boards, color palettes, prints, embroideries, and fabric concepts.
• Create detailed tech packs, specifications, and design documentation for production.
• Ensure designs are innovative, market-relevant, and commercially viable.
• Trend Research & Market AnalysisResearch fashion trends, fabrics, colors, silhouettes, and consumer preferences.
• Analyze competitor collections and market opportunities.
• Forecast trends and recommend new product categories and design directions.
• Product DevelopmentWork closely with merchandisers, sourcing teams, and production units to develop samples and final products.
• Select fabrics, trims, embellishments, and construction techniques.
• Review prototypes and samples, providing feedback and approvals.
• Ensure products meet quality, fit, and design standards.
• Production CoordinationCollaborate with vendors, artisans, and manufacturers throughout the development process.
• Monitor sample development timelines and production schedules.
• Resolve design and production challenges efficiently.
• Brand & Creative DirectionMaintain consistency in design aesthetics across collections.
• Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, photoshoots, lookbooks, and brand storytelling.
• Support product presentation and visual merchandising initiatives.
• Team CollaborationMentor junior designers and design interns.
• Coordinate with merchandising, inventory, marketing, and sales teams.
• Participate in collection planning and business strategy discussions.
• Required SkillsStrong fashion illustration and sketching skills.
• Expertise in garment construction, pattern understanding, fabrics, and embellishments.
• Excellent knowledge of ethnic wear, fusion wear, and contemporary fashion trends.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar tools.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Fashion Design from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in fashion design, preferably in ethnic wear, women's wear, or fashion retail.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful collections and commercial designs.
