Job Description
An Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and furnishing interior spaces in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. They create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environments by selecting colors, materials, lighting, and furniture while considering client needs, budgets, and building regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and mood boards
- Create detailed drawings, 2D/3D plans, and presentations
- Select materials, furniture, lighting, and décor elements
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors
- Ensure projects comply with building codes and safety regulations
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- Oversee installation and execution of design plans
- Visit sites regularly to monitor progress and quality
