Job Description
*Job Profile: Quality Control (QC) Engineer - Wrench Manufacturing**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join our team, specializing in wrench manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality benchmarks. This position requires a thorough understanding of quality control processes, defect analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Inspection and Testing:**
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of wrenches to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and profile projectors.
- Evaluate surface finishes and conduct hardness testing to verify product quality.
- Execute torque testing to ensure the functionality and durability of wrenches.
2. **Quality Control Procedures:**
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
- Identify and document defects, and initiate corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Analyze root causes of quality problems and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
3. **Continuous Improvement:**
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce rejections.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
4. **Compliance and Standards:**
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and other relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments and ensure their accuracy.
5. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in wrench or tool manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of calibration and proficiency in using measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, profile projectors, torque testers, and hardness testers.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards, quality management systems (QMS), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
**Preferred Attributes:**
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or other quality management certifications.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
