Accountant

About the Role

The 10X Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant (GST & Accounts

Executive) who can independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, billing processes,

GST compliance, and financial record management. The ideal candidate should possess strong

practical knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting, preferably with

experience working in a service-based or digital marketing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Generate and maintain client invoices, vendor bills, receipts, credit notes, and debit notes.

• Handle complete billing operations for digital marketing, web development, and other

service-based projects.

• Prepare, verify, and reconcile sales, purchase, bank, and ledger accounts.

• Ensure timely filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other applicable returns.

• Conduct GST reconciliation and resolve discrepancies related to Input Tax Credit (ITC).

• Maintain compliance with GST regulations and stay updated with changes in taxation laws.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.

• Assist in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.

• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities when required.

• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions to ensure operational efficiency.

• Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and compliance purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Candidates pursuing or having completed CA Inter, CMA, M.Com, or equivalent qualifications will

be preferred.

• Strong practical knowledge of Accounting Principles and Bookkeeping.

• Hands-on experience in GST Filing and GST Return Filing.

• Experience in Billing and Invoicing for service-based businesses.

• Knowledge of TDS deductions, compliance, and return filing.

• Proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Busy, or similar accounting software.

• Strong understanding of Bank Reconciliation and Ledger Management.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reports, and data management.

• Ability to prepare financial reports and analyze accounting data.

Experience Required

• Minimum 2–5 years of practical accounting experience.

• Prior experience handling GST compliance and accounting operations independently.

• Experience in a Digital Marketing Agency, IT Services Company, Advertising Agency, or Service

Industry will be an added advantage.
