Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Microbiology Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing microbiological tests, analyzing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples for microbiological testing.
- Conduct various microbiological procedures such as culturing, staining, and microscopy.
- Record and interpret test results accurately.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disposal of biohazard materials.
- Assist in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in microbiology techniques and standards.
