CNC Programmer

Key Responsibilities

·        Program Development:

·        Create, modify, and optimize CNC lathe programs using G-code and M-code.

·        Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop accurate machining instructions.

·        Machine Setup:

·        Collaborate with CNC operators to set up machines for production runs.

·        Ensure proper tooling and fixtures are in place for each job.

·        Testing and Validation:

·        Conduct test runs of new programs to validate accuracy and efficiency.

·        Make necessary adjustments to programs based on test results and operator feedback.

·        Quality Assurance:

·        Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.

·        Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts and verify compliance with specifications.

·        Documentation:

·        Maintain detailed records of programming changes, production runs, and quality checks.

·        Develop and update process documentation and work instructions.

·        Collaboration:

·        Work closely with design engineers and production teams to improve machining processes.

·        Provide technical support and training to CNC operators as needed.
