Job Description
Job Title : CNC Turning & Sliding Head Machine Operator.
Job Location : Narsapura Industrial Area Kolar
Experience Required :
- 1 to 5 years experience in CNC Turning and/or Sliding Head machines
- Experience in production machining preferred
Educational Qualification : ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Machine Knowledge :
Experience in operating:
- CNC Turning Machines
- Sliding Head / Swiss Type CNC Machines
- Fanuc control preferred
- Knowledge of twin spindle / live tooling machines is an advantage
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate CNC turning and sliding head machines
- Load and unload raw materials/components
- Perform tool offset corrections
- Monitor machining cycle and production output
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments
- Maintain required quality standards
- Perform in-process inspection
- Ensure proper machine cleaning and maintenance
- Follow production and safety procedures
- Reduce rejection and maintain productivity
Skills Required
- Basic CNC program understanding
- Ability to read engineering drawings
Knowledge of:
- Vernier caliper
- Micrometer
- Bore gauge
- Thread gauges
- Understanding of tolerances and surface finish
- Knowledge of cutting tools and inserts
- Basic troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in precision components
- Knowledge of bar feeder operation
- Ability to handle mass production jobs
- Basic knowledge of coolant and tool life management
Shift Requirements
- Willing to work in rotational shifts and overtime if required
