Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Machine Operators perform a variety of tasks to ensure efficient and accurate production:
- Machine Setup and Operation: Configure CNC machines, load raw materials, install and calibrate tools, and adjust machine settings such as cutting speed, tool pressure, and depth of cut to match part specifications. 2
- Programming and Monitoring: Translate technical instructions and blueprints into computer commands, program machines, and monitor operations to maintain quality and efficiency. 3
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards, perform tests during production, and make real-time adjustments as needed. 2
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance, clean machines, perform minor repairs, and report significant malfunctions. 2
- Documentation: Maintain production logs, quality records, and machine operation reports. 1
- Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols, wear protective equipment, and ensure a safe work environment.
