Location: Calcuttawala by The Rajbari Bawali, Shakespeare Sarani, Kolkata

Reports To: Café Manager / Restaurant Supervisor

• Key Responsibilities Guest ServiceWelcome guests warmly and assist them in selecting suitable seating.
• Present menus and explain food and beverage offerings, including daily specials.
• Take guest orders accurately and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages professionally, ensuring proper presentation and service standards.
• Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns.
• Maintain a friendly, positive, and professional attitude throughout the guest interaction.
• Operational ResponsibilitiesPrepare and set up tables before service and ensure cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Clear used crockery, cutlery, and glassware promptly after guests finish dining.
• Ensure tables are reset according to café standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
• Billing & Cash HandlingPresent bills accurately and process payments through POS systems.
• Handle cash, card, and digital payments responsibly.
• Ensure billing discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Product KnowledgeMaintain thorough knowledge of the café menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
• Recommend menu items and suggest appropriate food and beverage pairings.
• Upsell signature dishes, beverages, desserts, and promotional items to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Team CoordinationCoordinate effectively with kitchen, barista, and fellow service staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist colleagues during busy service periods.
• Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and team meetings.
• Brand RepresentationUphold the hospitality standards and values of Calcuttawala by The Rajbari Bawali.
• Maintain excellent grooming, personal hygiene, and professional appearance at all times.
• Create a warm and memorable experience that reflects the heritage and elegance of the brand.
• Required QualificationsHigher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent.
• Experience1–3 years of experience in cafés, restaurants, hotels, or premium dining establishments.
• Freshers with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude may also apply.
• Skills & CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a service-oriented attitude.
• Basic knowledge of POS billing systems.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and coordination skills.
• Strong grooming and professional etiquette.
• Basic English and Hindi communication; Bengali is an added advantage.
