Job Description
- Core Function (B2B/B2C focus): The role is primarily a business-to-business (B2B) sales position, focused on soliciting new accounts and retaining/developing existing commercial, trucking, or fleet accounts (5+ trucks).
- Key Responsibilities: The executive manages the entire client relationship, including initial calls, vehicle selection (light & medium-duty trucks, vans, HD trucks), presenting lease proposals (e.g., TRAC or EFA options), financing, delivery, and handling all sales-related paperwork.
- Product Expertise: Requires extensive knowledge of commercial vehicles (automobiles, light & medium-duty trucks, vans) and must act as an industry expert with a broad understanding of automotive developments and trends to make effective client recommendations.
- Sales Strategy: The role involves "hunting" for new lines of business, retaining existing relationships through strong networking and personal marketing strategies, and conducting in-person meetings.
- Essential Skills: Success demands excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, strong negotiation skills, time management, and a basic understanding of financial statements to assess client creditworthiness.
