About SBPL: Sundarban Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing clean-tech company specializing in electrochemical wastewater treatment systems. We design and manufacture compact, modular treatment systems for industries like healthcare, pharma, textiles, and food processing.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer – Mechanical with strong SolidWorks skills to support the design and development of process equipment, skids, and fabrication drawings. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to shop-floor fabrication and real project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. 3D Design & Modeling (SolidWorks)

• Create 3D models and assemblies for:
• Electrochemical reactors (EC/EO systems)
• Skid-mounted treatment units
• Tanks, piping layouts, and structural frames
• Generate detailed part drawings and fabrication drawings

2. Fabrication Drawing Support Prepare:

• Sheet metal drawings (MS/SS)
• Welding details and cut plans
• BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Ensure drawings are shop-floor friendly and executable

3. Design OptimizationOptimize designs for:

• Material utilization
• Ease of fabrication
• Cost reduction
• Modify existing designs based on site/fabrication feedback

4. Coordination with TeamsWork closely with:

• Fabrication team (welders, fitters)
• Electrical and civil teams
• Support installation and troubleshooting when required

5. DocumentationMaintain:

• Design files and revisions
• BOM and part lists
• Standard design templates

Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• 0–2 years experience (Freshers with strong SolidWorks skills can apply)
• Strong proficiency in:
• SolidWorks (mandatory)
• Basic AutoCAD (2D drawings)
• Understanding of:
• Fabrication processes (cutting, welding, bending)
• MS and SS material properties

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in skid design / process equipment
• Knowledge of:
• Piping basics and layouts
• Pumps, valves, and fittings
• Exposure to water treatment systems (STP/ETP)
