Position: Operations Executive
Department: Operations
Industry: Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)
Location: Kolkata
Reporting To: Operations Manager / Branch Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Operations Executive to support day-to-day operational activities in the BFSI sector. The candidate will be responsible for processing customer applications, maintaining operational records, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with internal departments, and delivering high-quality service to customers and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify customer applications, KYC documents, and account-related requests.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Handle policy issuance, loan processing, account opening, endorsements, renewals, and related documentation as applicable.
- Coordinate with sales teams, customers, banks, insurance companies, and other stakeholders for smooth transaction processing.
- Maintain accurate records and MIS reports.
- Monitor pending cases and ensure timely resolution.
- Support audit, compliance, and risk management activities.
- Address customer queries and provide operational support.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance as per company and regulatory requirements.
- Follow up on discrepancies and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or any recognized discipline.
- Additional certifications in Banking, Insurance, Finance, or Operations will be an advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in BFSI operations.
- Freshers with strong academic backgrounds may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Understanding of banking, insurance, loan, or financial services operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and operational software.
- Strong documentation and record-management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
