Retail Store Manager

Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for managing the store, handling customers, supervising staff, maintaining inventory, driving sales, and ensuring the store runs smoothly every day.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Manage day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth functioning.
• Open and close the store as per schedule.
• Maintain store cleanliness, product display, and overall store presentation.
• Ensure all products are properly arranged, tagged, and displayed.

Sales & Customer Service

• Drive store sales and achieve monthly targets.
• Attend to walk-in customers and provide a great shopping experience.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues quickly.
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.

Team Management

• Manage and guide store staff.
• Allocate daily tasks to team members.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
• Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer handling.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain inventory records.
• Coordinate with management for new stock, fast-moving items, and slow-moving inventory.
• Prevent stock loss, damage, or mismatch.

Billing & Reporting

• Oversee billing, cash handling, and payment collection.
• Maintain daily sales reports and share updates with management.
• Track expenses, returns, exchanges, and discounts.
• Ensure proper documentation for all store activities.

Marketing & Promotions

• Support in-store promotions, offers, and festive campaigns.
• Help create customer engagement through WhatsApp, calls, and social media updates.
• Inform customers about new arrivals, discounts, and special collections.
• Required Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in retail store management, fashion retail, or women’s apparel preferred.
• Good communication and customer handling skills.
• Strong sales mindset and target-driven approach.
• Basic computer and billing software knowledge.
• Ability to manage staff and daily store operations.
• Well-groomed, confident, and professional personality.
• Honest, responsible, and punctual.
• Experience2–5 years of experience in retail sales or store management preferred.
• Candidates from fashion, clothing, boutique, lifestyle, or apparel retail will be preferred.
