Job Description
We are looking for a Field Sales Executive who will be responsible for on-ground customer acquisition, relationship management, and driving daily orders from restaurants and street food vendors.
This is a high-impact, field-heavy role requiring strong interpersonal skills, hustle, and local market understanding.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer AcquisitionIdentify and onboard new customers:
- Street food vendors (momo stalls, roll stalls, Chinese stalls)
- Small & mid-sized restaurants
- Cafés and cloud kitchens
- Conduct daily field visits in assigned areas
- Pitch BlueCrateFoods as a one-stop procurement partner
2. Sales & Order Generation:
- Drive daily/weekly order volumes from customers
- Promote high-margin products (frozen snacks, packaging, sauces)
- Upsell bundled products to increase order value
- Ensure repeat orders and customer retention
3. App Adoption & Digital Onboarding:
- Help customers install and use the BlueCrateFoods app
- Educate customers on placing orders digitally
- Assist in onboarding to WhatsApp/phone ordering systems
4. Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with vendors and restaurant owners
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve basic issues
5. Market Intelligence:
- Gather insights on:
- Pricing trends
- Competitor activity
- Customer preferences
- Share feedback with internal teams
6. Marketing & Activation:
- Distribute marketing materials (flyers, offers, samples)
- Execute local promotional campaigns
- Support product trials and demos
Key Requirements:
- Field executive with his own 2-wheeler OR at least 2 wheeler license will be preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in field sales (FMCG, food distribution, or B2B preferred)
- Strong knowledge of local Kolkata markets
- Comfortable interacting with street vendors and restaurant owners
- Basic smartphone proficiency (apps, WhatsApp, digital tools)
- Good communication skills (Bengali/Hindi required; basic English preferred)
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and energetic
Preferred Profile:
- Experience in food supply, HoReCa, or distributor network
- Existing local network in restaurants or vendor ecosystem
- Comfortable with early-stage startup environment
- Field executive with his own 2-wheeler OR at least 2 wheeler license will be preferred
