Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution
• Execute daily production plans as per the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within planned timelines.
• Monitor production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
• Ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Shop Floor SupervisionSupervise operators, technicians, and assembly personnel.
• Allocate manpower based on production priorities.
• Monitor attendance, shift discipline, and productivity.
• Conduct daily production meetings and shift handovers.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Quality ManagementEnsure production complies with quality standards and work instructions.
• Reduce rework, rejection, and process deviations.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and corrective actions.
• Support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA methodologies.
• Safety & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to EHS policies and PPE compliance.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Report and investigate safety incidents.
• Maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards.
• Process ImprovementDrive Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Improve productivity through Kaizen activities.
• Support automation and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Inventory & Material ControlMonitor material availability for uninterrupted production.
• Minimize material wastage.
• Coordinate with Stores for inventory movement.
• Ensure proper handling of finished goods.
• Machine & EquipmentEnsure optimum machine utilization.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
• Report equipment breakdowns immediately.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• DocumentationMaintain production records.
• Update daily production reports.
• Record downtime, rejection, rework, and productivity data.
• Ensure ERP/production system updates are accurate.
• Team DevelopmentTrain new operators.
• Evaluate operator performance.
• Improve multi-skilling within the production team.
• Build a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
