CNC Programmer (SPM / Special Purpose Machines)
Position: CNC Programmer
Location: F-140, Focal Point, Phase-8, Ludhiana
Company: Batra Pad Printing & Automation
Salary: As per experience and skill level
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and innovative CNC Programmer for our Special Purpose Machine (SPM) manufacturing unit. This is not a production-based role. The candidate will be responsible for developing new parts, prototypes, and custom components for innovative machines. Every project involves new designs, new challenges, and creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Develop CNC programs for new and custom-designed components
Work closely with design and engineering teams to understand part requirements
Select appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and machining strategies
Optimize machining processes for accuracy and efficiency
Handle prototype development and small-batch production
Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
Perform machine setup and support trial runs when required
Suggest improvements in design for manufacturability (DFM)
Maintain documentation of programs and machining processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Programming / Tool & Die
Experience in CNC Milling / Turning / VMC Programming
Knowledge of G-Code, M-Code programming
Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM, etc.) preferred
Ability to handle new designs and prototype work
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience in SPM or custom machine manufacturing preferred
