Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for a creative, detailed-oriented Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging embedded firmware from initial requirements through to production and commercial deployment. The ideal candidate has a passion for building reliable software that interacts directly with hardware, improving system performance, and working in a cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Design & Development: Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems, from requirements to production.

2.    Coding: Write efficient, modular, and well-documented code in C or C++.

3.    Hardware-Software Integration: Collaborate with hardware designers to integrate and validate new product designs.

4.    Driver Development: Develop device drivers and middleware to enable seamless communication between software and hardware components.

5.    Debugging & Testing: Troubleshoot and debug complex embedded software issues using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

6.    Optimization: Analyze and optimize code for performance, memory, and power efficiency.

7.    Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

8.    Code Review: Perform code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1.    Education: BE / B.Tech /MCA / M.Tech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics & Communication / Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.

2.    Experience:3-5 years of experience in embedded software development.

3.    Programming Languages:Strong proficiency in C or C++.

4.    Embedded Systems:Proven experience in embedded systems design with real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.

5.    Protocols: In-depth knowledge of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB).

6.    Debugging: Hands-on experience with debugging tools and hardware troubleshooting.

7.    Version Control: Familiarity with software configuration management (CVS, Git, etc.)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

1.    Experience with embedded Linux development.

2.    Familiarity with scripting languages for automation testing (e.g., Python, Shellscripts, etc.).

3.    Knowledge of IoT protocols (e.g., BLE, Zigbee, MQTT).

4.    Understanding of safety-critical or security standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ).
