Assistant Manager

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist the Manager in setting, monitoring, and achieving monthly sales targets and KPIs for the showroom.
• To analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategic action plans to maximize revenue and profitability.
• To step in and personally handle high-value customers, corporate clients, or complex customer grievances escalated by floor staff.
• To supervise, motivate, and guide Floor In-charges, Section Heads, and retail staff to ensure high productivity and morale.
• To evaluate employee performance, conduct appraisals, and recommend promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions to the Management/HR.
• To identify training needs, conduct regular skill development sessions, and ensure the team is fully versed in product knowledge and customer service excellence.
• To approve staff leaves, manage shift rosters, and maintain the movement register to ensure optimal floor coverage at all times.
• To collaborate with the HR department regarding manpower requirements, recruitment, and onboarding of new staff.
• To ensure the entire team strictly adheres to the company’s HR policy, including grooming standards, uniforms, and punctuality.
• To conduct daily morning briefings with the team to communicate targets, focus products, and operational priorities.
• To ensure compliance with all company systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and statutory regulations.
• To oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and proper functioning of all showroom infrastructure, IT systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• To monitor opening and closing procedures, security protocols, and safe cash handling/billing operations daily.
• To collaborate with VM teams to plan and implement attractive in-shop displays, store layout, and seasonal themes.
• To monitor stock levels, coordinate with the warehouse for timely replenishment, and minimize stock shrinkage or damages.
• To oversee the end-of-day and beginning-of-day item-passing processes, ensuring zero discrepancies in high-value inventory.
• To cultivate a customer-centric culture on the floor, ensuring a premium, end-to-end shopping experience.
• To review customer feedback forms and Google reviews, analyze areas of concern, and introduce new methods to improve service quality.
• To compile and send daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales reports to the Showroom Manager and Top Management.
• To attend monthly review meetings at the corporate office and act as a bridge of communication between corporate management and floor staff.
• To officiate and assume full operational charge of the showroom in the absence of the Showroom Manager.
