Senior Accounts Officer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to lead the accounts team and manage the companys complete accounting, taxation, costing, compliance, banking, and financial reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and supervise the accounts team.
• Ensure timely monthly and annual closure of books.
• Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash-flow reports, and MIS reports.
• Handle manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, wastage, and profitability analysis.
• Monitor receivables, payables, collections, vendor payments, and working capital.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
• Manage bank reconciliation, loans, interest calculations, and cash-flow planning.
• Strengthen internal controls and prevent accounting errors, leakages, and unauthorised payments.
• Prepare budgets, cost-variance reports, and management reports.
• Train, allocate work to, and review the performance of the accounts team.
• Improve accounting processes and ensure proper usage of Zoho Books and related systems.

Preferred Candidate

The candidate should be capable of independently managing the accounts department, leading the team, identifying financial risks, improving systems, and providing accurate reports to management.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualification and Experience

• B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent qualification.
• 712 years of experience in accounts and finance.
• Minimum 2 years of team-handling experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing company is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, costing, inventory, banking, audits, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is mandatory.
• Experience with Zoho Inventory, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Expense, or other Zoho applications will be an advantage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
