Manager: Qaulity Assurance + QMS

Job Title: Manager – Quality Assurance & QMS

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Industry: Automotive (Locksets, Casting, Plastic Moulding)

Certification: Mandatory – IATF 16949 Certified

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end Quality Assurance activities across manufacturing processes including locksets, die casting, and plastic moulding.
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) as per IATF 16949 standards.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC implementation and ensure compliance across all projects.
• Handle customer quality requirements, audits, complaints, and ensure timely closure of issues using root cause analysis (8D, Why-Why).
• Ensure adherence to process quality, in-process inspection, and final inspection standards.
• Lead internal, external, and certification audits, including customer and third-party audits.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as PPM, rejection rates, rework, and customer complaints.
• Coordinate with production, design, and supplier teams for quality improvement and new product development.
• Develop and manage supplier quality assurance (SQA) systems and vendor audits.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, defect prevention, and zero-defect mindset.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Hands-on experience in casting and plastic moulding processes
• Expertise in problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA, Lean, Six Sigma)
• Strong leadership, audit handling, and cross-functional coordination skills
