Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop short- and long-term production plans based on customer orders and project timelines.
- Create detailed daily/weekly production schedules to optimize capacity and machine utilization.
- Maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and routing in ERP systems.
- Material & Resource Management:
- Forecast material requirements and coordinate with purchasing for timely procurement.
- Ensure raw material availability to prevent production downtime.
- Allocate manpower and machine resources (CNC, VMC, Fabrication) for maximum efficiency.
- Shop Floor Control & Monitoring:
- Track daily production against the plan (Plan vs. Actual).
- Identify bottlenecks and resolve issues causing production delays.
- Monitor inventory levels to minimize bottlenecks, slow-moving items, and excess stock.
