Supervisor/Incharge

We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled, and safety-conscious Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our fabrication workshop and production operations.

In this role, you will lead a team of welders, fitters, and fabricators to ensure high-quality output, timely delivery, and strict adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication, welding techniques, and blueprints, combined with excellent leadership and trouble-shooting abilities.

• Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the fabrication team, assigning tasks and setting daily production targets.
• Quality Control: Inspect raw materials, in-progress assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and structural specifications to guide the team accurately.
• Workflow Optimization: Monitor assembly lines and fabrication processes to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize material waste, and improve overall shop-floor efficiency.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all fabrication machinery (welding machines, cutting tools, bending machines, etc.) is maintained in good working condition and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict workshop safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Inventory & Material Management: Track raw material consumption, manage stock levels of consumables (welding rods, grinding wheels, etc.), and request purchases when stock is low.
• Skills and QualificationsEducation: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, ITI (Welder/Fitter), or a related technical field.
• Experience: [Insert Number, e.g., 3-5 years] of hands-on experience in metal fabrication, with at least [Insert Number, e.g., 2 years] in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC), sheet metal bending, cutting, and metal assembly processes. Strong capability to read 2D/3D fabrication drawings.
