Job Description
Job Description – DCDP Continental
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook continental dishes as per standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.
- Assist the CDP in daily kitchen operations and mise en place.
- Maintain food hygiene, sanitation and safety standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the CDP.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Support training and guide Commis chefs when required.
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service during operations.
- Follow all SOPs and company policies.
Skills & Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Continental cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of sauces, grills, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, steaks and breakfast preparations.
- Understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take ownership.
