Job Summary

The Paint Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily paint shop operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and manpower management are achieved efficiently. The role involves supervising painting activities, maintaining equipment, monitoring paint consumption, and ensuring adherence to process specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily paint shop operations and workforce allocation.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved within quality and delivery targets.
• Monitor surface preparation, painting, curing, and finishing processes.
• Maintain paint quality standards, thickness requirements, and visual inspection criteria.
• Ensure proper usage and storage of paints, thinners, chemicals, and consumables.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures, PPE usage, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production departments.
• Troubleshoot painting defects such as peeling, blistering, orange peel, runs, and contamination.
• Monitor paint booth performance, ovens, compressors, and related equipment.
• Maintain production records, rejection reports, and material consumption data.
• Train operators on painting techniques, SOPs, and safety practices.
