Bakery Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Bakery Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery products as per recipes and quality standards.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts attractively.
• Ensure freshness, taste, and presentation of all baked items.
• Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and place requisitions as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery section in accordance with food safety standards.
• Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in developing new bakery products and seasonal menu items.
• Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products.
• Train and guide junior bakery staff when required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bakery Chef, Baker, or similar role.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity and attention to detail in product presentation.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Culinary/Bakery certification is preferred.
